These terms govern your use of the Today's Food Specials mobile app (the "app"),
operated by Minnaar 5 (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in
South Africa. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
What the app is
Today's Food Specials is a listing and advertising platform. Food outlets
("suppliers") post daily/weekly/monthly specials and book banner ad placements;
visitors browse specials near a postal code they enter. The app does not sell
food, does not process payment for food, and is not a party to any transaction
between a visitor and a supplier — those happen entirely in person, at the
supplier's own premises, outside the app.
Accounts
Visitor accounts are optional — browsing never requires one. An account lets you save searches and favourites.
Supplier accounts require a valid business name and contact details, and are used to post listings and book banner ads.
Advertiser accounts (third-party brands booking banner ads only) are set up on the advertiser's behalf by us, using details the advertiser provides us directly.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, and for anything that happens under your account.
Listings and content
A listing's price is capped at R85 (the platform-wide price cap for a single special).
Listings must accurately describe a real special genuinely available at the listed outlet.
We may remove a listing, or block an outlet, that we reasonably believe violates these terms or misrepresents what's on offer. A blocked outlet may appeal within 30 days — see the Refund & Shipping Policy for what happens to any unused wallet balance.
We don't guarantee that posting a listing or banner ad will result in any particular level of visibility, foot traffic, or sales.
Fees and the wallet
Each outlet gets a limited number of free listing slots; further listings and banner ad bookings are charged against a prepaid wallet balance, funded through PayFast.
All fees are quoted excluding VAT; 15% VAT is added at checkout, per South African tax law.
Fees are billed at the rates displayed in the app at the time you post a listing or book a banner ad.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
Use the app to harass, defraud, or mislead another user
Attempt to circumvent the platform's fee structure or interfere with its normal operation
Use the app for any purpose that's unlawful in South Africa
Complaints and moderation
Visitors and suppliers can file a complaint about an outlet or listing through
the app. We review complaints and may take action including removing content or
blocking an account, at our reasonable discretion.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". We're not liable for the quality, safety, legality,
or availability of any special or product a supplier lists, or for any dispute
between a visitor and a supplier — those are between the two of you, not us. To
the extent permitted by South African law, our liability to you for any claim
arising from your use of the app is limited to the wallet balance you've paid us
in the preceding 3 months.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page
reflects the latest version. Continued use of the app after a change means you
accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any
dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
